The Slaughterhouse in Luana’s Canyon
An old house that sits in Luana’s Canyon right outside Kingman, Arizona was built during the gold rush of the 1800s and was nicknamed the slaughterhouse for the tragic event that occurred there.  The house was home to a miner, his wife Luana, and their children.  The miner would travel throughout the mountains in search of gold and food for his family, often gone for weeks at a time.  When the miner didn’t return one month, the family soon ran out of supplies and food.  At the sight of her starving, suffering children, Luana allegedly went mad and killed her children.  Legend has it she dismembered the bodies and tossed them into the river.  The next morning, Luana died as she cried for her dead children.  To this day, you can supposedly hear the distressed wailings of a woman within the canyon, believed to be those of Luana’s after she realized the horrific act she had committed. 

The Westwind Intermediate School
Located in Phoenix, Arizona, there’s an old school named Westwind Intermediate that is believed known to be haunted by a young student murdered years ago.  A young girl was stabbed during an altercation that escalated with another girl in the restroom.  The other girl cleaned up the blood and buried the body of the girl that had been stabbed.  Today, students and even some teachers have claimed to see the stall doors shaking in the bathroom that the young girl was allegedly murdered in.  Others have claimed to hear the eerie and disturbing screaming of the murdered girl.
Be aware that the Westwind Intermediate School is still in operation so you cannot go inside unless your visit has been sanctioned by school officials.

The San Carlos Hotel
Built in the 1920’s, this historic hotel located in downtown Phoenix is known as one of Arizona’s most notoriously haunted hotspots.  The hotel was built on the site of Phoenix’s first elementary school, were two young boys were killed.  In 1928, a young, heartbroken woman who was staying as a guest committed suicide by jumping off the roof.  Many believe the hauntings, which include banging doors, the apparition of a woman’s figure, and children’s voices, are linked to those tragic events that occurred years ago.
