WISCONSIN SCARYLAND includes 4 twisted and abandoned buildings. In its former glory, the Redbone Meat Processing Plant operated out of these buildings until 1935, when a freak accident caused the plant to be permanently shut down. Records indicate that on September 18th, 1935, Frank Slain of Madison WI was operating the industrial meat grinder. His brother, Larry worked just up the line, heaping bloody scraps into carts headed to the grinder. The stench of death and rot permeated these buildings and the surrounding acreage. It was said that if you didn't keep moving, the flies would cover your face. The floor, once sawdust, had become an undulating carpet of maggots, scraps of rotting meat and dried blood. On that fateful day in September, a fight broke out between Frank's brother Larry and an older boy. In a rage, the boy picked up a shovel, and bashed Larry across the face, leaving him bloody and unconscious. Thinking he had killed him, and not wanting to be punished, he concealed Larry in a meat cart and sent him down the line towards Frank. So distracted by the flies and monotony of his job, Frank tipped the cart contain his brother's unconscious body into the industrial meat grinder. As Larry came too, his shrieks of agony snapped Frank back to reality, and he realized that his brother was headed for sudden, gruesome death. After witnessing Larry being ground to a bloody pulp before his very eyes, something in the depths of Frank's brain snapped. He picked up a shovel and in a fit of rage, bashed in the skull of the boy who sent his own brother to his premature demise. For the next 30 minutes, Frank played a bloody game of cat and mouse....slowly going from room to room in the factory, slicing his shovel into everyone he could find...

Longest indoor haunt
Details were amazing, so nice to be inside for a change. Lots of actors for such a big place. Can't wait to go again!

If only it was a lil bigger!
So the attention to details in this place is amazing! They try really hard to make things look great! I really just wish it was bigger!

Great atmosphere and INDOORS!!
Wisconsin Scaryland really has a LOT of atmosphere in every room of the haunt. The lighting, smells and atmosphere make it terrifying to walk through. The thing I actually appreciated the most is the entire haunt is indoors which is really nice since it gets so cold and wet in October. After visiting several outdoor haunts and walking through the mud with an ice cold wife this was an awesome change of pace!
