Went last weekend. I really enjoyed the one with the bar and the swamp. That was my favorite. The clown thing was so scary and claustrophobic, my wife didn't get much sleep that night. We liked the hayride, reminded me of spook houses from my youth. The farm house/trail was straight out of Deliverance. Liked the crazy guy in the costume yelling at people as well.

I went last year and my son, Carey, and me had an excellent time. They aim to scare you, to really scare you...and they do. We had already been to Netherworld, which frankly gets old after two trips because its not scary. We went to Frightfest, which was an even bigger joke. But Dixielands haunt is a very original event. The sheer amount of deatail in their walk throughs, the scares being scary...it was all very fun. The Beast guy was an a**hole. I had fun shooting him. The hayride was my fave!

I went last year on Halloween and had a great time. Dark intentions was not open but they opened another haunt and had the rides going. Although it was pouring rain we had a lot of fun. The hellevator does need some work but it was a great concept and I hear it is being redone for this year. I have been talking with a friend that works at Dixieland and I hear that "Last Call" is going to be a great house. I had a good time last year and will definitely be back this year!

| Dixieland Halloweve 2010 is Coming! |
|
| New Attractions Are Looking Good |
Last call is now ready for paint and props. This is by far the most detailed haunt Dixieland Halloweve has ever done. We are putting in classic scares as well as next generation effects and surprises no one has seen before! "Last Call" is a themed house from start to finish. We have listened to our guests and this house is part ride as well. Your adventure into darkness will start with our Route 66 car track where you have to drive through the back woods to check out "Miss Dixie's" a burned speakeasy from the prohibition era. On your drive you will have to escape carnivorous Hillbillies, evade ghosts emerging from the grave, plus much more... Once at the site where Miss Dixie's once stood, you will enter and.... well you will have to come to find out what lies in wait for you :) We are also starting work on our Pyro Show "Scream". This nightly Pyrotechnic spectacular will feature lasers, water screen video, A LOT OF FIRE and of course pyro and fireworks! All this set to both original music composed by Mike Breakall and rock music. You will not want to miss this! Our Hay ride was rained out last year but we have taken steps over the summer to ensure this year we are all set. "Return to Dark Intentions" is a hay ride that mixes comedy, horror, dark ride effects and 4D trailer mounted effects to give you a ride that is part haunt part show. Opening this Oct come Hell or high water! |
